São Tomé & Príncipe,
the unspoiled paradise
Main informations
In the middle of the Gulf of Guinea, around 200 km off the coast of West Africa, lies São Tomé and Príncipe (STP), a tropical island nation and the second smallest country in Africa after the Seychelles. The remote archipelago of STP consists of two main islands (São Tomé and Príncipe) and several islets and is located about 300 kilometers from Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The islands are more commonly known as ‘Africa’s Galapagos’ due to their remarkable, endemic flora and fauna, particularly on UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Príncipe Island.
